ATLANTIC-ACM President Fedor Smith at ITW 2009 to Discuss These and Other Wholesale Matters Boston - June 1, 2009 For Immediate Release ATLANTIC-ACM, a leading telecommunications industry research firm, announced the general availability of its 2009 Global Wholesale Carrier Report Card today at International Telecoms Week 2009 (ITW 2009) in Washington, D.C. This edition of the industry's principle benchmarking study, which is based on more than 1,200 individual ratings of global carriers by their wholesale customers, revealed increased customer satisfaction across key wholesale voice and data products, among other noteworthy trends. “Growing capacity consumption, resulting from increased broadband penetration and expanded global mobile traffic, is driving strong demand for international transport and IP transit services," said Fedor Smith, president of ATLANTIC-ACM. "This market remains highly competitive and continued price compression is reflected in an increase in product price satisfaction of wholesale buyers from 2008 to 2009. Based on noted year-over-year increases in product quality scores in these key growth products, we can infer that competition has also had a positive effect on the performance and reliability of these products market wide.” In addition to releasing this study at ITW 2009, Fedor Smith is moderating a panel on Wednesday, June 3rd, at 2pm, addressing key issues relating to the broadband stimulus funding. Fedor is in attendance Monday through Wednesday, along with lead wholesale analyst Aaron Blazar and ATLANTIC-ACM CEO Dr. Judy Reed Smith. Members of the press interested in discussing these and other wholesale issues either on-site or by telephone, may contact Aaron Blazar (e-mail: ablazar@atlantic-acm.com, tel +1 617 720 3700) to make arrangements.
