Leading research consultancy and market diligence firm ATLANTIC-ACM delivered its 2018 Metro Wholesale Service Provider Excellence Awards on Tuesday, October 30 at the INCOMPAS Show in Las Vegas, NV. The awards were determined by responses to the firm’s annual customer feedback survey, which collected nearly 1,100 customer evaluations of approximately 70 individual metro wholesale service providers. ATLANTIC-ACM introduced the Metro Wholesale Report Card survey in 2006 to identify the strengths and weaknesses of wholesale providers, along with customer buying trends and priorities. The 2018 analysis of the approximately $17B IP and local voice/data market marks the 13th consecutive year of this research and offers insights on a shifting purchase ecosystem and priority landscape. “The overall revenue for metro wholesale services is declining year over year, forcing carriers to be highly competitive when it comes to services and customer experience if they want to gain market share. ATLANTIC-ACM has found that network performance and price remain carrier purchasers’ top purchase priorities, but service delivery and white glove approaches add to a vendor’s value. Carrier customers find more agile market entrants easier to do business with, driving cable/MSO and fiber players’ share gain as prices continue to fall and circuit speeds increase,” stated Fedor Smith, President and Managing Partner.
ATLANTIC-ACM President and Managing Partner Fedor Smith delivered the awards as follows:
- Verizon: ILEC Awards for Brand, Service Delivery, and Voice Value
- AT&T: ILEC Award for Sales Rep and Network Performance
- Century Link: ILEC Award for Billing, Customer Service and Data Value
- Inteliquent: CLEC Awards for Brand, Network Performance, Customer Service, and Voice Value
- Altice USA: CLEC Awards for Sales Rep and Billing
- Bandwidth: CLEC award for Service Delivery
- Cogent: CLEC Awards for Data Value
